HIGH-EFFICIENCY 6.8KW SOLAR SYSTEM IN KENT

Our latest residential installation in Bromley features a 6.8kW flat roof solar system, designed for maximum performance and a sleek, modern look. The system includes 16 × 425W all-black premium panels, paired with a Growatt MIN 6000 TL-X single-phase inverter (with Arc Fault and DC protection) and a GivEnergy 6kW All-in-One AC Coupled System with 13.5 kWh of battery storage. This setup is engineered to efficiently generate and store solar energy, boosting self-consumption and overall resilience. The system is projected to produce approximately 7,514 kWh annually, helping the homeowner reduce energy costs while supporting sustainability.

Customer Feedback: "A very good company to deal with from start to finish. The service, standards and finished product was as promised and at a great value. The solar panels look great and my electric bill even better."

PROJECT-BROMLEY-3.6KW SOLAR PV & BATTERY STORAGE

Our team recently completed a 3.6 kW solar PV project in the Bromley area, incorporating 13 kWh of battery storage with a Growatt Hybrid Inverter and an Easee EV charger capable of using surplus energy. Scaffolding was provided for safe access, and two new consumer units were installed, one for high-load circuits and another for EPS circuits. The EPS unit includes an auto changeover switch, allowing the battery to supply power during a grid outage, while the EV charger optimises any surplus solar energy.

We also installed provisions for a dedicated hot water immersion supply, enabling excess solar energy to heat water efficiently. Every aspect of the project was carefully designed to ensure maximum performance, safety, and long-term energy savings, reflecting our commitment to high-quality and efficient installations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a south-facing roof for solar panels?
A south-facing roof is ideal, but not essential. East- or west-facing roofs can still generate a good amount of energy, though they may be slightly less efficient. Roof angle, direction, and shading from trees or buildings also affect performance. A qualified installer can assess your roof and recommend the best solution.

How much roof space do I need for solar panels?
Solar panels can fit on most roofs. Typically, an 8-panel system—the smallest we usually recommend—fits comfortably on the roof of an average 3-bedroom semi-detached house.

Do solar panels need constant sunshine to work?
No. Solar panels can generate electricity even on cloudy or overcast days. Performance improves with sunshine, but cooler temperatures can actually boost efficiency. Less sunlight means reduced output, but panels will still produce energy.

How long will my solar panels last?
High-quality solar panels are designed to last 25–30 years or more, with many manufacturers offering warranties guaranteeing a certain output for at least 25 years. Actual lifespan depends on panel quality, installation, and conditions. Some panels may continue producing electricity beyond this period, but it is often not cost-effective to keep them in use.

What about the rest of the solar system?
The panels themselves can last decades, but other components, like inverters and batteries, may need replacing sooner. Regular inspections and maintenance are essential to ensure your system performs efficiently and lasts as long as possible.
